Q: Why should I use Professor Pedals™ for bicycle riding training?
A: We do things better, safer and with a more positive approach to learning. Our progressive program teaches students how to effectively and safely ride a bicycle. We developed activities, games, drills and related lessons to achieve great skills and results. In fact, much of the work is done off the bicycle to provide comfort and security to our students. Let's face it, riding a bicycle can be scary, but if students know their controls and abilities, their fears are greatly reduced. We are able to ease our students through the learning process while building up to more advanced skills. At the end of the process, our students will have a positive and comprehensive bicycle riding experience that will last a lifetime.
Q: How long does it typically take to learn to ride a bicycle with Professor Pedals™?
A: While results vary based on ability, maturity, coordination and strength, most students are fully trained in just 2-3 lessons.
Q: What do you do differently?

A note on Special Needs
"In the end, we all ride." - Steve Finkelstein, Professor Pedals
From developmental issues, visual and physical impairments, Professor Pedals can assist in developing bicycle and scooter riding skills.
Our approach is progressive in that goals can be attained at many levels during the learning process. Attention levels, exhaustion and interest can be monitored to maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the lesson. Our learning approach involves displaying techniques and shadowing with the student to train safely, improve comprehension, build trust and confidence.
We educate students in balance, coordination and control as well as other motor skills. We modify the riding process, where possible, to meet their strengths, and needs.
“We develop skills to help students lead more independent, confident and happy lives. Special needs or not, everyone deserves the feeling of success. We want everyone to leave smiling no matter what their achievement!” said Steve Finkelstein, Founder of Professor Pedals.
We are happy to communicate with your medical professionals and physical therapy specialists. If you have any questions or require more information, please contact us.

FAQ's For Kids
Q: Has anyone ever gotten BADLY hurt while training with you?
A: No. We make sure our students are safe. No broken bones or hospital visits!

A: No! Never! At the beginning we learn without a bike (weird, huh?). Then once you learn the off-the-bike stuff, we learn other things on cool devices - Even a kick scooter! Then, once you have all of that stuff mastered, we go on the bike. But, when you are on the bike we are always keeping you safe. Following this easy process makes learning less scarey and fun!
